What kind of love is this?

or; "God helps those who are willing help themselves"

Al Gibbs

I'm amazed that there is not one person saved in the Bible, after an alter call, or even told that God loves them and wants them to make him lord.

1. What kind of love would stand by and allows the objects of that love to perish and suffer everlasting condemnation, all because they fail to meet a divine requirement such as repentance or confession?

2. This kind of love presupposes man is not spiritually dead and is perfectly capable of seeing his spiritual need as well as repenting of his evil ways and receiving Jesus into his heart.

3. This kind of love only makes salvation a possibility LEAVING THE BURDEN AND FINAL OUTCOME UP TO THE SINNER.

4. This kind of love will not coerce or control anyone if it did it would not be love at all, especially since He sees our will is so very important to us.

5. This kind of love is fair, "just like our sense of fairness", it says God, in order to be fair, must love all the same and provide a salvation that is equally "available to all" though He knows ''all" will not accept it, but it is there for the taking. What kind of love is this?

Seems as if the common view of the god of religion is one that no doubt makes his love of little power or value. Thanks for pointing out the various errors of mainstream religion and even "common grace-Calvinists".
Love the new blog site!
